before and after edit

during editing I left this image quite blurry and out of focus as I think it gives it quite a dreamy effect which fits in with the whole Alice in Wonderland concept. however, I did do things such as brighten the image quite a lot, as the original was took in natural light and was quite dark which I didn't think fit in with the concept of the images very much. I cropped some of the left hand side off as I thought it  wasn't needed and I also added the Vibe logo in the standard font, but put their tagline in a much softer girly font as I think it went well with the image. I was also careful when considering the colour of the text and made sure it complemented the image.

this image was already quite well focused as the macro setting was used when taking it, so I didn't have to use the blur or sharpen tool to enhance this effect. I again brightened the image, and then simply added the relevant text again, this time in a different (but complementary to this picture) colour.

this image is an alternative to the first one as it is not as out of focus but is still practically the same thing. whilst editing this picture, I altered the brightness like on all the others taken in natural light, and then just added the text in a pink colour that I picked out from one of the cakes on the stand.

I've cropped this image so the model appears closer to the camera, I think this makes the image more effective as she is more imposing on the viewer and more likely to catch attention. also, because the window and therefore the garden are in full view in this shot, I cut out the background and put in a snowy scene as a replacement as this is for a winter issue.

I thought this image was quite aesthetically pleasing as it was and I liked the composition so I haven't cropped it or really done much to it during the editing process. I simply added the word 'vibe' again in a complementary colour.

during editing this image, I changed the scenery visible from the window to a snowy background  that i feel is much more fitting to the wintery, fantasy theme of this image and campaign. I also brightened the image quite a bit to make it look a bit more warm and inviting. I then realised that the text didn't look as good as it could because of where I had placed it, so went back onto Photoshop and edited it again. I think the text looks better in the second edit because it is more visible.

I like the original image because of the lighting and composition. however, this did not convey onto the edited image and it ended up looking quite bad once I had replaced the background with a snowy scene. I tried to edit the brightness and vibrancy so that the sun shining on the model would look realistic, but it didn't turn out how I'd hoped.

this image was took in front of the blue screen with the intent of having a picturesque snowy, winter scene edited in behind it. when it cam to editing I tried a few different backgrounds with the original image. however, I don't really like how this turned out as I think it looks very fake and I will not be using it as one of my photos that are presented to vibe.
